Create a broadcast

  1. 1
    Open Broadcasts

Select New broadcast. You need a connected Instagram account to send.

  2. 2
    Choose the audience

All contacts or the contacts with one tag. With several connected accounts, you can also limit it to one account.

  3. 3
    Check the reach

ChatPeak counts how many people in the audience can receive the message right now, and how many last wrote more than 24 hours ago or never sent you a DM.

  4. 4
    Write the message

Up to 1,000 bytes of text. {{first_name}}, {{full_name}} and {{username}} personalise it. See messages.

  5. 5
    Send, schedule or save

Send now starts within a minute and needs at least one person who can receive it. Schedule sends at the date and time you pick. Save draft keeps it for later.

Who receives a scheduled broadcast is decided when it goes out, and the 24 hour window is checked again right before each message.

Follow and control a broadcast

Select a broadcast in the list to open its details: status, message, the numbers sent, opened, skipped and failed, and the people it went to with the status of each and the reason for every skip or failure. The page refreshes the numbers while a broadcast is sending.

Counting and limits

  • Plan usage

Each broadcast message counts toward your plan's automated replies. When they run out, the remaining people are skipped. See plans and billing.

  • Opens

    Come from Instagram's read receipts.

  • Rate limits

When Instagram rate limits the account, the waiting messages are tried again a minute later.
