Connect your Instagram account
ChatPeak works through Meta's official Instagram API with Instagram login. You log in on Instagram's own page, so ChatPeak never sees your password. TikTok and Facebook cannot be connected yet.
What you need
- An Instagram professional account
Business or creator. The API does not work with personal accounts, and switching is free in the Instagram app.
- The owner or admin role
Only workspace owners and admins can connect and disconnect accounts. Members see the accounts but cannot change them.
- Room on your plan
Each plan allows a number of connected Instagram accounts. See plans and billing.
Connect the account
- 1Open Integrations
In the sidebar, open Integrations and select Connect on the Instagram card.
- 2Log in with Instagram
Instagram opens its login page. Log in with the account you want to automate.
- 3Allow every permission
ChatPeak asks to read the profile, read and send direct messages, and read comments and reply to them. Without all three, nothing gets connected.
- 4Back in ChatPeak
You return to the Integrations page with a message. Once it says the account is connected, live automations answer on it.

Manage connected accounts
Select Manage on the Instagram card to see every connected account with its status, when it was connected and until when its access renews. Owners and admins can Reconnect an account, Disconnect it or Connect another account there. Automations answer on every Instagram account connected to the workspace.
Security settings
Security settings at the top of the Integrations page lists, for each account, who connected it and when, when the access token expires, when it was last renewed, the permissions granted and the events Instagram sends. Access tokens are stored encrypted and never reach the browser. ChatPeak renews access daily once fewer than 30 days are left.
Disconnect an account
Disconnecting deletes the stored access, stops Instagram from sending the account's comments and messages, and stops its automations. Conversations and contacts stay in the workspace.

Recommend setup on the Integrations page shows a checklist for the workspace: connect an Instagram account, put an automation live, choose your email notifications, invite your team and pick a plan. Each open item links to the place where you do it.
