Analytics and metrics
Time range
Choose 7, 30 or 90 days at the top of the page. Not every number follows that choice:
| Metric | Counts | Time range |
|---|---|---|
| Messages | Messages sent and received in the workspace | Selected range |
| New contacts | Contacts added | Selected range |
| Automation open rate | Opens divided by replies sent, across all automations | All time |
| Broadcast open rate | Opened broadcast messages divided by sent ones | All time |
Charts and tables
- Messages and contacts
Daily totals for the selected range, by UTC day.
- Contacts by platform
The number and share of contacts on each platform.
- Automation runs
Recent runs by status: queued, running, waiting, succeeded, failed and cancelled.
- Automation performance
Replies, open rate, leads and status for each automation.
How the numbers are counted
| Number | Counted when |
|---|---|
| Replies | Instagram accepts an automated DM, including private replies to comments. Public replies and inbox replies are not counted. |
| Opens | Instagram reports that the person has seen the message. |
| Leads | The person sends a DM after an automation messaged them. Each run counts once. See leads and conversion tracking. |
Messages and new contacts are counted per day in UTC and are always complete. Contacts by platform and automation runs use the newest 500 contacts and runs, so in a busy workspace those two tables show a recent sample. Replies, opens and leads per automation are always complete.
Export
Export downloads a CSV file with every table on the page for the selected range: the key numbers, the daily totals, contacts by platform, run statuses and each automation's replies, opens, open rate and leads.
Which of these matter most is covered in what to measure in DM automation.
